Our VISION:

Support loving marriages, produce better parents, provide help for those who experience divorce

Historically, the church has been supported by families. It has been the center for spiritual nurturing and learning. We take a different view. At Christwalk, we see the family as the center for nurturing and training. We see the family as the primary God-ordained institution for perpetuating the faith from one generation to the next. The duty of the church is to help enrich the home (nowhere do we find the church replacing the parents call to “bring them up in the fear and admonition of the Lord.” Eph. 6:4).

Divorce has destroyed families and weakened the church. Children, caught in the middle, often feel they are to blame. Blended families struggle with the demands placed on “his, hers and our” children. Dads don’t understand what it means to be the “priest of the home.” We believe the church must address these issues.

The vision we now employ places much greater emphasis on helping marriages become better and stronger, helping parents find the resources they need to raise godly children, and providing support for people who are contemplating divorce or who have experienced divorce. It also includes helping dads become spiritual leaders in their homes.

Family is important to Christwalk.
